What we store in your browser, and how to turn analytics off
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between page loads. This page lists every kind this site uses and gives you a switch for the only one that is optional.
Essential cookies
These are the ones the site cannot work without, and they are only set on the pages that need them, not while you are browsing groomers or breed guides.
- Session cookie. Set when you use the contact form, claim or add a listing, sign in to manage a listing, or log in to the admin. It is what keeps a form submission tied to the person who filled it in, and it is what stops someone else submitting a form on your behalf.
- Your cookie preference. If you opt out below we
have to remember that you did, which itself takes a cookie
(
uspg_consent), plus one recording that you have seen the notice (uspg_notice).
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful and where the site can be improved. We ask Google to anonymise IP addresses. This is on by default and you can turn it off below at any time. We do not run advertising or retargeting cookies.

Your choice is stored on this device for a year. If you clear your cookies, or use another browser or another device, you will need to set it again.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that on its own as an opt-out. Analytics is then never loaded and the tracking code is not even written into the page, without you having to do anything here.
Cookies set by other companies
Two services set their own cookies, and only on the pages where they are actually used. Neither is optional on those pages, because without them the page cannot do its job.
- Google reCAPTCHA on the contact form and the listing sign-in form. It is what tells a person from a bot, and without it both forms would be used to send spam.
- PayPal on the payment step when you claim or add a listing. Your payment is handled entirely on PayPal's side. We never see your card details.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's own settings. Note that the essential cookies above are needed for the contact form, the payment step and listing sign-in to work, so blocking everything will stop those pages working.
