These terms cover your use of uspetgroomers.com, referred to below as this website. The site is operated by JS Enterprises. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

We may change these terms. The date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change is what accepts it. If a change affects something you have paid for, it will not apply to a period already paid.

What This Website Is

This website publishes grooming guides for dog and cat breeds, and lists grooming businesses in the United States by state, county and town.

We are not a groomer and we are not an agent for any groomer. We do not take bookings, take payment for grooming, or carry out grooming. Any appointment you make is a matter between you and that business, and we are not a party to it.

Who May Use This Website

You must be at least 18 to buy anything on this site or to hold an account. Anyone may read the guides and the directory.

You agree not to use this website to break the law, to interfere with how it works, to gain access to any part of it you have not been given, or to copy the directory or the guides by automated means. Scraping, bulk downloading and republishing our content or our listing data is not permitted.

The Guides Are Not Veterinary Advice

The grooming guides, articles and breed pages on this website are general information about coats and grooming. They are not veterinary advice, and they are not a substitute for seeing a vet.

Do not use anything here to diagnose or treat an animal. If your animal is unwell, injured, in pain, or you are unsure about anything to do with its health, speak to a veterinarian. Where a page tells you to see a vet, that is the advice, and nothing else on the page replaces it.

Grooming carries risks that no guide can remove. You are responsible for what you do to your own animal and for deciding what you are competent to do at home.

Groomer Listings

We do not guarantee that any listing is accurate

Listings are compiled from public business data and, where a listing has been claimed, from information supplied by the business itself. We do not independently verify that information, and we do not guarantee that any of it is accurate, complete or current.

Business details change constantly. Opening hours, telephone numbers, service areas, ownership, and whether a salon is trading at all can change without our knowing. Always confirm directly with the business before relying on a listing, and particularly before traveling to an address or depending on an appointment.

A business appearing here is not a recommendation, an endorsement or a vetting by us. We do not check qualifications, insurance, licensing or standard of work.

We may remove or change any listing at our discretion

We reserve the right to add, edit, suspend or remove any listing at any time, at our sole discretion, with or without notice and without giving a reason. This applies to every listing in the directory, including listings that have been claimed and paid for.

Reasons may include information we believe to be inaccurate or misleading, a business that appears to have closed, a complaint from the business or a third party, content that breaches these terms, or our own editorial and operational judgment.

We do not guarantee the directory will continue to exist

We may change, suspend or permanently close the directory, or this website as a whole, at any time. We give no undertaking that this website will remain available for as long as your business trades, or for any particular period at all. Claiming a listing does not create a perpetual right to be listed, and does not oblige us to keep the directory or the website running.

Paid claims, and no refunds

Claiming a listing, or adding one that is not already in the directory, carries a one-time fee. That fee pays for the ability to add and manage your own information on that listing for as long as we operate the directory.

All fees are non-refundable. That includes cases where a listing is later changed or removed under the terms above, where the directory or the website is closed, and where the business itself closes, moves or changes hands.

The fee buys access to the listing tools. It does not buy an outcome. We make no promise about visitor numbers, inquiries, orders, search engine indexing or search ranking, and nothing on this website should be read as one.

Who May Place an Order

Everything we sell relates to a specific business: claiming a listing, adding a listing, and advertising placements. By ordering any of them you confirm that you are the owner of that business, or a person the owner has authorized to act for it.

In placing an order you confirm all of the following:

You are the owner of the business, or an employee, officer or agent authorized by the owner to buy this on its behalf.
You have authority to accept these terms and to commit the business to them, including to a recurring payment where the service is a subscription.
You are authorized to use the payment method you are using.
The information you supply about the business is accurate, and you may lawfully publish it and anything you link to.

Do not claim, advertise for, or otherwise order on behalf of a business you do not own and have not been authorized by. That includes a competitor's business, a salon you have been a customer of, and a business you are hoping to work with or acquire.

If you order for a business without authority, you are personally responsible for the order and for anything that follows from it, and you agree to indemnify us against any resulting claim, loss or cost.

We may ask you to show that you are authorized before or after an order, and we may withhold or suspend a listing, a placement or an account while we do. Where we believe an order was placed without authority we may reverse it, remove the listing or advertisement, transfer control of a listing to the verified owner, and close the account. Fees are not refunded in those circumstances.

If you are the owner of a business and somebody else has claimed or advertised for it, tell us and we will deal with it.

Accounts and Signing In

There are no passwords on this website. Signing in to manage a listing or a subscription sends a one-time link to your email address. That link expires shortly after it is issued and works once.

Keep access to your email account secure, because anyone who can read your email can request a sign-in link. Tell us if you believe somebody else has gained access to your listing.

We may suspend or close an account that is being used in breach of these terms.

Content You Supply

Owners who claim a listing may supply information about their business and upload photographs of their own work. If you do so, you confirm that you are authorized to act for that business, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you own the photographs or have permission to use them.

You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, resize and reformat that content on this website for as long as the listing is published. You keep ownership of it.

We may review, decline, edit or remove any submitted content at our discretion, and photographs are checked before they appear. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to use, anything containing a person who has not agreed to appear, or anything unlawful or offensive.

Our Content

The breed guides, articles, photographs, illustrations, page designs and the selection and organization of the directory on this website belong to us or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright.

You may read, print and share pages for your own personal use, and link to any page. You may not republish, redistribute, sell or use our content to build a competing directory or dataset, and you may not use automated tools to extract it.

Advertising

What an advertising subscription is

We sell banner placements on this website. A town banner appears on the page for the town or towns you have chosen and nowhere else. Buying a placement does not give you any other right over the page, the listings on it, or this website.

The design is fixed. Advertisers supply text and a destination web address only. The artwork, layout, colors, size and position are ours and may be changed by us at any time.

It renews every month until you cancel it

An advertising subscription is a recurring monthly charge. It renews automatically and continues until you cancel it. The amount is the total of the towns attached to your subscription, shown to you before you pay, and it is charged in advance each month through PayPal.

You can cancel at any time, yourself, from your own account, without contacting us and without giving a reason. Canceling stops any further payment. Your banner continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and the town then becomes available to other advertisers.

Fees already paid are not refunded, including for any part of a month remaining when you cancel. If a payment fails we will allow a short period for it to be corrected before the placement ends.

We may change our prices. A change will not affect a period you have already paid for, and continuing after a price change takes effect is what accepts it.

We promise placement, not results

We do not guarantee any number of views, clicks, inquiries, orders or sales, and we do not guarantee any level of traffic to this website. Nothing we say about the site's size or reach is a promise of what your banner will produce.

We do not provide click or view statistics for town banners. This is stated before you buy. If you need reporting, do not buy a town banner.

Town placements are allocated first come, first served. Only one advertiser holds a town at a time. A town is yours only once the subscription is active, and availability is not reserved before that.

While your subscription is active the town remains yours. We do not rotate the slot between advertisers, resell it over your head, or accept a higher offer for it from anyone else. It continues month to month until you cancel, subject only to our right to remove advertising as set out below.

Your advertisement, and your responsibility for it

You are responsible for everything in your advertisement and for everything at the address it links to. By submitting an advertisement you confirm that it is lawful, truthful and not misleading, that you own or are authorized to use everything in it, that it does not infringe anyone's rights, and that the destination is a website you own or are authorized to advertise.

You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or cost arising from your advertisement or from the site it links to.

We may refuse or remove any advertisement

Advertiser wording is reviewed before it appears, including by automated means. Review is not endorsement, and we do not check that anything an advertiser says about their own business is true.

We may refuse, hold, edit or remove any advertisement at any time, at our sole discretion, and we may end an advertising subscription. Reasons may include wording or a destination we consider unlawful, misleading, unsubstantiated, offensive, disparaging of another business, unrelated to pets or pet grooming, or damaging to this website. If we end a subscription for a reason that is not your fault, we will not charge you again.

An advertisement being displayed is not a recommendation by us, and we are not responsible for any dealing between you and an advertiser.

Affiliate Links and Other Websites

Some pages carry affiliate links, mainly to Amazon. If you buy through one we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change what we recommend. This is set out in full on our affiliate disclosure page.

This website links to businesses and to other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, their products, their privacy practices or anything that happens when you deal with them.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card details. When you pay you are also subject to PayPal's own terms.

You are responsible for any tax that applies to you. Prices are in US dollars.

The Website Is Provided As It Is

We work to keep this website accurate and available, and we cannot promise either. This website, the guides and the directory are provided as they are and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that any content is accurate, complete or current.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost profits, lost business, lost revenue or lost data, arising out of your use of this website, your reliance on anything on it, any dealing with a business listed on it, or any grooming carried out on your animal.

Where we are found liable despite the above, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater.

Nothing here excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some states do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the limits above apply only as far as that state permits.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JS Enterprises and anyone acting for it against any claim, loss, liability, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of this website, anything you submit to it, an order you place without authority, or your breach of these terms.

Ending Your Use of the Site

You can stop using this website at any time, and you can cancel an advertising subscription yourself from your account. We may suspend or end your access, your listing or your account where we believe these terms have been breached, in which case fees already paid are not refunded.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Louisiana are the proper venue for any dispute arising from them.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
